Operation Write Home FUNdraiser Bloghop

Welcome to my blog. Wow! Irit did some awesome designs.
If you are just starting the bloghop there are links below that will take you to the beginning.

I cut the die cut three times, once in red, blue and gold. I then used the gold as the base. I cut out the blue and red and glued them over the top of the gold die cut. Then added the gold stars and added the red star to the eagle. The background was done with a sponge and scallop punch of scrape paper to use as a stencil. I added a couple of mat layers and this card is done. I plan to use it as an Any Hero card.
The Die-Version dies are so easy to use. I used mine in a Big Shot but I am sure they would work in just about any die cutting machine. I had no problem with getting the die cut paper to separate from the die itself. These are very detailed die cuts. I just loved using them.

With this card I tried to make it appropriate for a male or female recipient. I first cut out the blue layer. I then did a yellow layer for the hearts and 2 pink layers to make the die cut look layered plus a layer of black for the letters. Add some layers with pattern paper and card stock, a little ribbon and you have a quick and easy Miss You card.

I can see using this die a lot. Not just for Operation Write Home cards but personal cards I send out to loved ones.

If you are not familiar with Operation Write Home, our mission is to support our armed forces by sending blank handmade greeting cards to write home on, as well as "AnyHero" cards of gratitude to encourage them. You can find more information for newcomers at: http://operationwritehome.org/welcome/
Patti is the next one on the hop.

Thanks for stopping and shopping.

CHA envy challenge 3

Hi everyone,
I think this is my favorite card from the three for the CHA Envy challenge at Stamp TV.

The card size is 3 1/2 x 6 3/8
This was a fun card to make. I didn't have any dp paper with an ivory background that I liked so I used my buttercream ink pad to tone down the whiteness. I also changed the middle pearl for a silver sparkly gem that is not in this picture.
Supplies:
Bold Flowers - Gina K
DP - SU! Patterns Pack III
Ink
Outdoor Denim, Buttercup - CTMH
Old Olive - SU!
Pearls & Crystals - e.
Ribbon - Details & Accessories
Cardstock - DCWV and Gina K

I hope you enjoyed the three posts on my cards for the CHA envy challenge.

Have a great day,

Marianne
