SCS had this type of card on their Inklings newsletter. A group I am on decided we would do this for our challenge this week. So here is my take.

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge MMSC13

Midnight Madness Sketch Challenge looked interesting this week. Here is the sketch layout.

This is the card I made. All those squares were a challenge but I like how the card turned out.

The flower and leaves are from a Christmas set made by Close to My Heart. The stem is from Autumn Leaves. The pattern paper and blue cardstock were leftovers from another project.

Cards for Heroes

Sorry I haven't been around. I have been busy working on cards to send off to the men and women of our armed services. I am so thankful for all of you who are serving our country and the families that are behind the scences.

Water scene

I received this great stamp from my sister. I tried an new technique with it. I have never tried to stamp on acetate and then rub it onto cardstock. That is the way I did the reflection of the trees.

ATC Swap

I joined an ATC swap entitled Literature. So I did a search of the word Literature and found this quote by Aldous Huxley. It says A man's memory is his private literature. When I thought about the quote I thought of my family. So I did a collage and made this ATC.

Wedding Card with Vinyl

Here is just a touch of vinyl. I cut out the wedding rings with my Cricut using the Wedding/Marriage cartridge. I made two sets of rings so I could use the other one on the envelope. The vinyl in this case is shiny silver vinyl. It reflects very well. I wonder if you could use alcohol inks on it. Guess I'll just need to find out. The vinyl comes in a duller gold too.

Colorful Vinyl

Lookie what I have. I'm sure most of you know vinyl is all the rage these days and with your cricut, big shot or other cutting system we can make our own vinyl designs. If you are interested in purchasing any vinyl at very reasonable prices please contact me.

June Inspiration

I belong to an online group of wonderful artists. Why they choose me to join I'm not sure but I do get a lot of ideas from them. Plus I consider them my very good friends.

I found an ad in a magazine for a HOB special and was so inspired by the layout and colors. This card is a result.
